Sounds crazy but I have always been fascinated by different relegions and have never felt home in just one so I wanted to combine the things I liked from all of them and create my own practice.
1. You must meditate no less than 3 times a day. Eyes closed take 10 breaths. Breathing in the present and exhaling the past and future. Once when you wake up, mid day, and right before bed.
2. There is no worship of Gods, Idols or scripture. Relegious scriptures are historical artifacts which help the present understand the morality of the past. They are not to be treated as fact or fiction, but rather occupy a space in between. It is encouraged to learn and be curious about all forms of relegious practice.
3. The self is not important and everything is part of an equalibrium. The natural world is a focal point, humans are just animals part of the circle of life and we should respect our neighbours in nature. A mouse is not a in the home, humans are a pest to the forest. Knowing this aligns oneself as a working part of the natural world, not intelectually superior but physically privelaged.
4. Death is a part of life. A nessicary part in the bioactive circle that is our earth. Death is expected, and acceptance of it will allow one to live life more freely.
5. Art is as integral to life as science is to nature.
6. It is integral to have the ability to hold two or more contradictory opinions and internally believe something that is different to fact. So long as recognition of said fact is realized.
